The jury is still out on whether Fox’s new serial drama, “Gotham,” is going to be a success or not. There’s a ton of lore and it’ll be difficult for all Batman fans to get on board with the revamping of famous characters’ life stories, such as changing Poison Ivy from Pamela Isley to a girl named Ivy Pepper. But whether or not you are excited to see this new look at Batman’s city before Batman, Fox is going to give “Gotham” its best possible shot at success. Fox is airing a four-part special online.

The special, released Friday, gives a look at the mythology behind “Gotham” and its villains, heroes, and in-betweens, including Catwoman, Det. Gordon, the Penguin and other popular characters who may or may not be in the actual series. The special is presented by writer/executive producer Bruno Heller.

All of the parts are below the post. Give it a look and see what you think. Perhaps, you might change your mind about the series if you’re still on the fence. Or, if you’re already stoked, the special might just make you that much more excited. “Gotham,” which stars Ben McKenzie, Robin Lord Taylor, Camren Bicondova, Donal Logue, and Jada Pinkett-Smith, will premiere Monday, Sept. 22 at 8/7c.
