Summer is about to be over, meaning the summer movie season is coming to a close. But you can still get in one last hurrah with the new film “Born to Race: Fast Track.” The film is now available on iTunes; if you want a physical copy, you’ll have to wait until Sept. 9, when the film comes out on DVD, Blu-ray and On Demand from Anchor Bay Entertainment. When the film comes to DVD and Blu-ray, the suggested price will be $26.99 (Blu-ray) and $22.98 (DVD).

The film, the second in the “Born to Race” franchise, features MTV “Awkward” stars Brett Davern and Beau Mirchoff as Danny and Jake, two rivals who battle it out in street-racing. But when Danny gets a summer scholarship to a top racing school, he finds himself surrounded by even more competition, not just with Jake, but with a slew of international drivers. Danny finds himself involved in a relationship with one of his classmates and has to team up with his rival, Jake in order to make it to the finish line. The film also stars Tiffany Dupont (“Greek”), Diogo Morgado (“The Messenger,”) Corbin Bernsen (“Psych”), Grant Show (“Devious Maids”) and Sharon Lawrence (“Rizzoli & Isles”). The film is directed by Alex Ranarivelo and is written by Steve Sarno. The producer, Ali Afshar, has lent his expertise as a professional race car driver to create “Born to Race: Fast Track” an amazing look at the world of rookie race car drivers.
