“Interstellar” rocked the theaters last year and took viewers on a ride to the outer reaches of space. Now, the film and Google Play hope to take you on a journey to the depths of humanity with their short film, “EMIC: A Time Capsule From The People of Earth.”

The short film, a collaboration between “Interstellar” and Google Play and curated by “Interstellar” director Christopher Nolan, was created from over 10,000 submissions from people around the globe. The film is described as “highlighting the human spirit and how it manifests itself around the globe.” The film itself shows “a reflection of how we view ourselves, and how we want to be remembered.”

The film was directed and edited by David Brodie and creative director Angus Wall and does indeed give those who watch it a lot to think about in terms of humanity and our potential legacy.

You can watch the trailer for the film below the post. You can view the whole film for free on Google Play. If you want to join in the conversation about the film, tweet @GooglePlay and use the hashtag #InterstellarEMIC
