FilmOn TV and Hologram USA signed a deal with Endemol Shine North America and Just Entertainment Studios to develop new TV shows featuring hologram technology and bringing dead celebrities back to life, including Whitney Houston, Buddy Holly, Patsy Cline and Andy Kaufman.

According to Variety, the companies will develop new TV shows and celebrity hologram tours for a digital platform in the next generation of entertainment. FilmOn (ShockYa.com’s parent company) and Hologram USA CEO Alki David commented:

“We have the biggest and most exciting technology changing the entertainment industry, so naturally we went with the biggest and most exciting creators of television, Endemol Shine North America and Just Entertainment, as our partners. The stories we’re telling with this new medium are incredible, and the TV programming we’ll create together will add unbelievable reach to new audiences.”

According to Just Entertainment Studios CEO Justin Hochberg, “Today more than ever, TV needs big live events and what’s bigger than the greatest acts of all time coming back to life to perform live? Or better yet, performing for the first time with some of today’s most successful artists.”

While Endemol Shine North America COO Ben Samek added, “Hologram USA has proven to be the world’s leader in this space and we’re truly excited by the myriad options that both their technology and celebrity relationships offer us in developing unprecedented TV programming with the team at Just Entertainment.”

At the moment, Holograms USA is planning new upcoming tours featuring dead musicians and comedians, such as Redd Foxx and Tammy Wynette, which will also be featured in FilmOn.com.
