Jamie Foxx’s protagonist may be seeking revenge on his son’s kidnappers in ‘Sleepless,’ but the actor truly cherished his experience of collaborating with his colleagues on the action film. In honor of the thriller’s home release, Shockya is premiering an exclusive bonus features clip, during which the Oscar-winning actor and several of his co-stars express their admiration for each other and the crew. In addition to Foxx, such cast members as Michelle Monaghan, Dermot Mulroney, Tip “T.I.” Harris and David Harbour praise not only the cast’s collective talent, but also the work of the drama’s director, Baran bo Odar.
The clip, which is titled ‘Cinematic Action-Thriller,’ is supporting the action movie’s home distribution this month; Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is unveiling ‘Sleepless’ today on Digital HD, and on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand on Tuesday, April 18. The crime film’s Blu-ray and DVD will feature such bonus material as Deleted Scenes and the featurette, ‘One Long Night: The Making of Sleepless.’
The cast of ‘Sleepless also includes Gabrielle Union and Scoot McNairy. The crime thriller, which is based on the 2011 French thriller, ‘Sleepless Night,’ was written by Frédéric Jardin, Nicolas Saada and Olivier Douyère.
Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has released the following synopsis for ‘Sleepless’:
Undercover police officer Vincent Downs (Foxx) thrives in the high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground of Las Vegas. But when a heist goes wrong and a crew of homicidal gangsters kidnaps Downs’ teenage son, he must evade an internal affairs investigation, rescue his son, and bring the kidnappers to justice all in one sleepless, pulse-pounding night.
