Finding true love with someone who genuinely understands and accepts them can become life’s most powerful and important fate to some people. That’s certainly the case for the title character and her own Prince Charming in the fantasy movie, ‘Tam Cam: The Untold Story.’ In honor of the drama being distributed into select American theaters by Sunrise Seagull Productions for one week beginning this Friday, September 29, Shockya is premiering an exclusive clip from the film.
‘Tam Cam: The Untold Story,’ which has already topped Vietnam’s box office, is also set to be released in the U.S. on DVD on November 7, and then on VOD on December 5, by The Orchard. The action movie, which was adapted from a popular Vietnamese fairy tale, brings an action-packed twist to the popular Cinderella story.
The drama was directed and produced by, and also stars, ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ actress, Veronica Ngo. In addition to the filmmaker, ‘Tam Cam: The Untold Story’ also stars Huu Chau, Isaac, Jun Pham, Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, Ha Vi, Son Thach, Thanh Loc and Ngoc Trai.
“The ultimate dream of the entire team in making ‘Tam Cam: The Untold Story’ is to bring stories that have Vietnamese origin to the big screen. The modern, action-packed twist on a classic Vietnamese Cinderella tale follows an apathetic Prince, Thai Tu (Isaac), who finds enchantment in Tam (Ha Vi), a kind and beautiful countryside girl. Things turn fatal when Tam gets trapped in the jealous machinations of her wicked stepmother and stepsister, and the Prince suffers from misplaced loyalty, which puts his love, himself and his kingdom in peril.
