Embarking on a mysterious quest, during which the public can better understand their unique perspective, can be both a terrifying and satisfying experience for creative individuals. But Italian singer-songwriter Luca Bash is admirably proving what a versatile and emotionally accessible musician he is with his latest album, the 15-track ‘Keys of Mine.’ As the follow-up to his unparalleled 2015 EP, ‘Single Drops,’ the new record highlights the impassioned journey the guitarist has gone on to truly connect with his listeners. Bash’s latest folk-soft-rock-pop compositions not only help define his uplifting musical style, but also what kind of person he has become.

One of the best entries on ‘Keys of Mine’ include its opening soft-rock and pop-infused song, ‘Backstage.’ Bash’s gruff voice immediately features a surprisingly mellow and rich nature, as he croons that the crowd still doesn’t know who he is, as a person or musician. But with the support of tantalizing and jazz-infused keyboard and drums, ‘Backstage’ is one of best tracks on the musician’s latest album, and features a soothing jazz vibe that promises that it’s a perfect composition to be performed live.

Another noteworthy tune on ‘Keys of Mine’ is the fascinating folk song, ‘Your Tomorrow.’ Its exotic tones are driven in part by lively harmonics and smooth rhythm. Also uniquely compelled by its emotional guitar and mellow jazz ambience, the singer-songwriter’s versatile track proves his versatility as musician, as he strongly insists that real love won’t hurt his soul.

The next entry on Bash’s new record, ‘Paradise Cafè,’ is one of his best. The upbeat funk song features memorable guitar riffs and folk-rock vocals that feature a striking resemble the stunning ’90s genre that was led by such groups as the Dave Matthews Band.

‘Keys of Mine’ then delves into the song, ‘Forever Like Asleep,’ which features an interesting mix of rock, blues and funk, especially during its smooth chorus. The album then transitions into another notable track, ‘The Sun’s Everlasting Smile.’ The smooth jazz tune features mellow vocals and lyrics that are driven by a soothing sax and harmonies feel.

Bash’s latest album then features the reggae-jazz-pop-inspired entry, ‘Women’s Way (Nu Shu),’ which is a reworking of one of the songs on ‘Single Drops.’ Even with the addition of female vocals and an ensemble instrumentation on the new version of the track, Bash’s vocals are still top priority. That distinction helps prove that his musicality is always evolving to fit his current attitude and opinions.

‘Jekyll & Hyde’ is another stunning tune on the singer-songwriter’s new record. The entry features a dark and dangerous feeling, especially through the wailing of the sax and the change in Bash’s vocals. He powerfully powerfully proclaims that he can finally free his true personality, and he doesn’t care what people may think of him as a result, which proves that his life journey is all his own.

‘Key of Mine’ ends with one of its best songs, ‘Upwind,’ which features more carefree and pop-inspired vocals. Despite the track’s more jovial nature, the musician claims that he wants to sail against the wind, which indicates that the norms of society won’t always guide his actions and opinions.

Commencing on an unfamiliar quest, during which the public can better understand their individual ideas, can be both a frightening and gratifying experience for creative individuals. But Bash is admirably proving what a skilled and emotionally accessible musician he is with ‘Keys of Mine.’ As the follow-up to ‘Single Drops,’ the new album highlights the impassioned journey the singer-songwriter has gone on to truly connect with his audience. Bash’s latest folk-soft-rock-pop compositions not only help define his uplifting musical style, but also what kind of person he has become.
