River Runs Red
(L-R): Luke Hemsworth and Gianni Capaldi star in writer-director Wes Miller’s thriller, ‘River Runs Red.’

One impulsive decision can severely impact not only seemingly close relationships, but also the careers of everyone involved. That’s certainly the case for many of the characters of the new thriller, ‘River Runs Red,’ which Cinedigm released today in theaters and VOD.

In honor of the official unveiling of the movie, which the distribution company is also set to release on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-Ray on December 11, ShockYa is debuting an exclusive clip from the drama. The clip, which is titled ‘He Reached for His Wallet,’ features actors Luke Hemsworth and Gianni Capaldi. Their police officer characters argue over whether Capaldi’s character, Rory, made the right decision in killing a seemingly innocent man, and his insistence that Hemsworth‘s character, Von, not tell anyone what really happened during the shoot-out.

‘River Runs Red’ was written and directed by Wes Miller. In addition to Hemsworth and Capaldi, the film also stars Taye Diggs, George Lopez and John Cusack.

Cinedigm has unveiled the following synopsis for ‘River Runs Red’:

Respected Judge Charles Coleman (Diggs) and his wife (Jennifer Tao) have devoted their lives to law enforcement. The two are thrilled when their son is accepted into the police academy, but everything changes when he is shot by two corrupt cops (Hemsworth and Capaldi) and the official investigation finds no wrongdoing. After his trusted friend detective Horace (John Cusack) finds evidence to the contrary, Charles joins forces with an anguished mechanic (George Lopez) whose son was killed by the same cops and together they take the law into their own hands.
