During a chemical screening, the two compounds commonly found in hemp – annabigerolic acid, or CBGA, and cannabidiolic acid, or CBDA — were identified as having the potential to combat coronavirus, researchers from Oregon State University said. In the study, the compounds were found to block a step the pathogen uses to infect people.
