Screenwriter and actor Kevin Grevioux, the co-creator of the “Underworld” franchise, will be reteaming with Patrick Tatopoulos, director of “Underworld: Rise of the Lycans”, for a new project based on Grevioux’s “I, Frankenstein” from Darkstorm Comics, according to Superherohype.com. Ryan Rotten, the managing editor of Shock Till You Drop, is associate producer and co-developer on the project.

Produced by Robert Sanchez and Chris Patton for Death Ray Films, the comic book and movie will be a modernization of the classic Frankenstein mythos based on the novel by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, with Frankenstein’s monster encountering other famous movie monsters.

Grevioux, besides filmmaking, has also written for Marvel’s “New Warriors” book and the upcoming “ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction” from Red 5 Comics.
