‘Greek’ is now officially the longest-running original show on the cable network ABC Family. The Hollywood Reporter announced on February 20 that the hour-long dramedy series has been renewed for a fourth season. While the initial order is only for 10 new episodes, less than the average ‘Greek’ season, if ratings hold up, the network will consider expanding the season. Over the years, ‘American Idol’ has seen its fair share of disqualified contestants, whether it was discovered they had a criminal past or had previously taken part in professional recordings, and this year is no different. The Popeater website reported on February 18 that 19-year-old Chris Golightly, who was admitted into the top 24 round the night before, was shortly there after disqualified. In a FOX press release, the network announced that Golightly was determined ineligible to continue in the competition because of a recording contract mix-up. The creators of the late-’90s television cult favorite ‘Freaks and Geeks’ is re-teaming on an upcoming movie about planning a wedding party, Moviefone reported February 17, and ‘Saturday Night Live’ star Kristen Wiig has been cast in the lead role. Paul Feig and Judd Apatow are working on the comedy that will feature Wiig as a woman who’s in charge of planning her friend’s wedding.
