The sole downside to winning the lottery, is managing money hungry friends begging for a buck. In Lottery Ticket, Bow Wow must suffer through just that. When his character, Kevin Carson, nabs a $350 million prize, a slew of devious neighbors will do whatever it takes to get a cut of his haul. Kevin must resort to drastic measures to protect his winnings until a three-day holiday weekend comes to an end and he’s eligible to claim the cash.
Lottery Ticket packs a powerful cast and nearly everyone is featured in the film’s poster. There’s Bow Wow, of course, and Brandon T. Jackson, Naturi Naughton, Terry Crews, Bill Bellamy, Mike Epps, T-Pain, Loretta Devine and more. Minus the names, there’s really nothing special about the poster. The stars might as well have just put their arms around each other and taken a friendly group photo. If it weren’t for the title, tagline and Bow Wow’s cheesy t-shirt, nobody would have any clue what this movie’s about.
Luckily the trailer fairs a little better. It still rides on the prestige of having a big name cast, but also shows hints at a potentially promising plot, some good gags and even a little heart. Check out the poster below and click here to watch the trailer.
