Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is stating that the child abuse claims aimed at ex-wife Britney Spears by former bodyguard Fernando Flores are “baseless and motivated by money,” the Associated Press reported on September 8. Flores worked on Spears’ security detail, and in his new lawsuit, is suing for sexual harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The lawsuit is claiming the singer repeatedly exposed herself to Flores, and punished her young sons with his belt. Kaplan said his client takes any allegations of child abuse by Spears seriously, and feels that Flores’ claims “are products of emotional motives.”

Federline has custody of his sons with Spears, Sean Preston and Jayden James, while she has substantial visitation. The couple reached an agreement in 2008, and neither has tried to change it in nearly a year.  Spears’ publicist, Holly Shakoor, wouldn’t comment on Flores’ lawsuit.
