Lindsay Lohan is reportedly in the final stages of negotiating a deal to portray Elizabeth Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime movie ‘Liz and Dick,’ which based on the legendary actress’ life, TMZ is reporting. However, the ‘Mean Girls’ star, who is considered the frontrunner for the role, is facing competition from Megan Fox.
Larry Thompson, ‘Liz and Dick’s executive producer, told E! News that he has been talking to Lohan directly. But he has “been in conversations with other actresses,” including the former ‘Transformers’ star. “It’s a very serious selection. It’s like casting for Hollywood royalty,” he added.
Lohan is considered the frontrunner for ‘Liz and Dick,’ and has reportedly brought her the most movie offers she’s had in years, due to her newfound maturity. She could sign a deal for the Taylor biopic as early as next week.
As part of her probation for a necklace theft conviction in May 2011 and a 2007 DUI case, Lohan is currently completing a community service sentence. If she’s cast in ‘Liz and Dick,’ she could finish her sentence early to film the movie in Canada.
The actress has reportedly completed the required number of shifts working at the Los Angeles County Morgue and has attended four psychotherapy sessions. Lohan has another hearing scheduled for February 15, 2012, and her final hearing is on March 29.
