Edward Furlong was fired by the producers of his latest film, next year’s drama ‘Misled,’ after he was arrested at LAX on Tuesday morning, TMZ is reporting. The ‘Terminator 2′ star was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly getting physical with his girlfriend during an argument.
Furlong was supposed to fly to Detroit, where the film was scheduled to begin shooting on October 25. Since the actor missed his flight from L.A. as a result of the arrest, he missed important rehearsals and wardrobe prep. Scott Baldyga, who is directing and producing ‘Misled,’ and also co-wrote the script with Jonathan Stanley, told TMZ they’re already recasting Furlong’s role.
Baldyga said “I love Eddie. I think he’s a great actor, but we are two days away from shooting and we have another guy to cast in his place.” The filmmaker added, “we aren’t going to lose any sleep over this.” Furlong’s reps have not yet responded to his firing.
