Carmen Electra has denied that she’s dating Simon Cowell, and told Celebuzz that she’s “actually single right now.” The television personality said “We’re friends and we worked together on ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’ I filled in for a few days. I really like him, he’s a cool guy.”
The 40-year-old actress and model, who ended her four-year engagement to musician Robert Patterson earlier this year, has been trying to revamp her singing career recently. She released her new single, ‘I Like It Hot,’ on iTunes yesterday.
Electra added that “Right now it’s a really good time for me. I’ve had a lot of changes this past year—good changes, positive changes—and I feel excited about life right now and I’m in a new place, so I think music’s appropriate for that.”
However, Cowell doesn’t know about Electra’s attempt at relaunching her singing career. She said she would never ask him to feature her on ‘The X Factor,’ as “we’re just friends and that’s it. But I’m a big supporter and I love to watch the show.”
