The Amazing Spider-ManWith “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” hitting theaters on May 2, 2014, the third installment scheduled for June 10, 2016, and then the fourth locked for a May 4, 2018 debut, Andrew Garfield and the whole “Amazing Spider-Man” crew are going to enjoy quite the stretch at San Diego Comic Con.

In the sequel, Peter Parker (Garfield) is still busy enjoying his budding relationship with Gwen (Emma Stones), but he also has to make room for more friends, acquaintances, and villains because not only is his childhood friend Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) back in town, but Spider-Man is also tasked with taking down The Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and the untouchable Electro (Jamie Foxx), too.

Just ahead of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s” big show in Hall H, producers Avi Arad and Matthew Tolmach, director Marc Webb, and stars DeHaan, Foxx, and, of course, Garfield, fielded some questions in a pre-panel press conference. Catch clips of Foxx discussing his inspiration and basis for Electro, what Garfield learned making the first film that influenced his approach on the second, the perks of his new Spider-Man costume, DeHaan’s experience working on such an enormous production, and Webb’s dedication to infusing the film with a degree of fun and playfulness in the video below.
