More growing tension between the waring humans and apes is revealed in the new trailer for the highly anticipated film, ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.’ 20th Century Fox, which will be distributing the action-adventure sequel to 2011’s hit ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes,’ released the new glimpse into the all-out war between humanity and Caesar’s growing forces.

‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ will be released in theaters on July 11 in 3D. The film was directed by ‘Cloverfield’ helmer Matt Reeves and written by Mark Bomback and Rich Jaffa & Amanda Silver, who based the story on characters they co-created. The second installment of the rebooted ‘Planet of the Apes’ series stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-McPhee, Enrique Murciano and Kirk Acevedo.

The following synopsis for ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ has been released by 20th Century Fox:

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
