ZDFinfo has also launched its high-definition simulcast of the channel through digital satellite May 1, 2012. ZDFinfo is a part of ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen), a German public service television broadcaster.

The channel provides up-to-date news about what is happening in Germany and all across the world. “ZDFinfo is all about fast, comprehensive and up to date informational programs,” states the channel’s description.
