DreamWorks Animation Strikes Deal With Chinese Online Video Site For Kung Fu Panda Films

DreamWorks Animation is expanding its distribution to Chinese online video site Youku.com. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two companies released information Monday that they have reached what is being labeled as a “first-of-its-kind” online distribution agreement for the rights to the “Kung Fu Panda” films in China. This will be the first time that DreamWorks Animation titles will be available through an online site inChina. DreamWorks Animation has announced that Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill have joined “Oobermind”, which will be hitting theaters November 5th, 2010. Ferrell is replacing Robert Downey Jr. in the title role of Oobermind, a supervillain who managed to finally defeat his arch-rival Metro Man (voiced by Pitt).
