John Malkovich has confirmed in an Italian TV show that he is to play the winged Spider-Man villain the Vulture in the upcoming “Spider-Man 4″ film. This comes on the heels of Marvel’s upcoming “Thor” taking “Spider-Man 4″‘s May 2011 release date, causing the already-troubled production to now have no set release date, though they are aiming for a summer 2011 release. UGO is reporting that Dylan Baker has confirmed his return as Curt Connors in the upcoming “Spider-Man 4″, directed once again by Sam Raimi. It is unknown if Baker as Connors will continue simply as the college science professor and friend of Peter Parker/Spiderman, or if he will be one of the villains in the upcoming film. First introduced in 1963 in “The Amazing Spider-Man”, Professor Curt Connors inadvertently becomes the villainous Lizard after experimenting with reptilian DNA to replicate their regenerative powers, hoping to regrow his own lost arm.
