“The Sitter,” starring Jonah Hill, Sam Rockwell, Ari Graynor and Max Records, has a built-in draw because it’s an R-rated comedy where a chunk of the cast are kids. However, that superficial gag isn’t enough to get critics to rally behind the film. According to Rotten Tomatoes, “The Sitter” has garnered only a 22% rating from critics and, even though audiences are generally more lenient, the audience also voted it down, giving it a 58% rating. The site states that “[the film’s’ recycled plot, misguided gags and formula performance from Jonah Hill, ‘The Sitter’ adds up to another disappointing entry from director David Gordon Green.” Ouch. Individually, the critics went…

Title: The Sitter Directed By: David Gordon Green Starring: Jonah Hill, Max Records, Landry Bender, Kevin Hernandez, Ari Graynor, Sam Rockwell, Kylie Bunbury, Erin Daniels, D.W. Moffett, Jessica Hecht Just because a movie’s a comedy, doesn’t mean it can only be a comedy and often, it’s quite nice to get a little heart with your laughs. However, if you try to infuse your funny film with emotion and fail, the feature becomes laughable, and not in the way you originally intended. On top of being structurally unsound and lacking in the humor department, The Sitter veers further off track in a desperate attempt at giving the final product a serious…
Of course there’s no forgetting George Washington, All the Real Girls and Snow Angels, but, for the sake of this piece, think Your Highness and Pineapple Express plus children. Or, basically, raunchy adult humor with some kids on the side. Actually, raunchy humor, childish shenanigans and a surprisingly hefty dose of heart most accurately describes David Gordon Green’s most recent film, The Sitter. Jonah Hill stars as Noah, a college dropout crashing with his single mother. When his mom gets the opportunity to meet a new guy, Noah’s thrilled. The problem? The only way his mom can go on this blind date is if the mutual friends find a babysitter…

We’ve also got a nice sized package of first looks including images from Wrath of…
Do you need a game to spice up your internet perusing? Maybe you might want to check out the red band game for “The Sitter” called “The Sitter Home Edition.” To play the game, all you have to do is spin the wheel to help Noah (Jonah Hill) find his girlfiend and get his charges for the night, the Pedulla children, back home before their bedtime. You can play the game at IGN. You can also view the red band trailer at IGN as well, or below the post. The synopsis of “The Sitter” involves a man who probably shouldn’t be a babysitter employed to take care of three children:…
After months of speculation and wondering, the red band trailer for “21 Jump Street” has finally been released! The trailer was put on the film’s official Facebookpage, and, having seen at least one episode of the original “21 Jump Street,” I think it’s fair to say that there’s a very big difference in tone from the show, which made Johnny Depp a household name. The film stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as doofus cops who look young enough to pass for high schoolers, so they’re enrolled in an revived undercover cop unit: “In the action-comedy 21 Jump Street, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are more than ready…
