Kiefer Sutherland Returning to Television in FOX Pilot Touch

Kiefer Sutherland has signed a deal to return to FOX’s prime-time line-up in its new pilot ‘Touch,’ www.deadline.com is reporting. The drama, which was developed by ‘Heroes’ creator Tim Kring, follows a father, set to be played by Sutherland, who finds out that his autistic, mute son can predict future events. ‘Touch’ is being produced by Chernin Entertainment and 20 Century Fox TV, which also released Sutherland’s last series, the Emmy-winning ’24.’ Production for ‘Touch’ isn’t expected to begin until late May or early June of this year, as Sutherland is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Jason Miller’s ‘That Championship Season.’ The play began its run earlier this…

Twentieth Century Fox Rejects 24 Movie Script

Officials at 20th Century Fox have rejected a proposed script from ‘State of Play’ screenwriter Billy Ray, Comingsoon.net is reporting. But Howard Gordon, who executive produced the television series and is expected to return for the big screen version, reassured Entertainment Weekly (EW) that “There is talk about re-approaching it. I understand (director/producer) Tony Scott is meeting with Kiefer (Sutherland) to talk about ideas.” While Gordon added that he was disappointed the script was rejected, he’s “certainly hopeful that he movie will get made at some point…I’ve heard from people who are really missing the show and I do think there is more life in Jack Bauer.” Sutherland is also…
