Image Entertainment re-releases 1980s horror classics in their Midnight Madness collection

Image Entertainment is introducing the Midnight Madness series just in time for Halloween. Three new actors join thriller Gone

Three additional actors have signed on to star alongside Amanda Seyfried in Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment’s new movie ‘Gone,’ including Emily Wickersham, Wes Bentley and Jennifer Carpenter, www.collider.com is reporting. The thriller will be helmed by Brazilian filmmaker Heitor Dhalia. The script, which was penned by ‘Fame’ screenwriter Allison Burnett, follows Seyfried’s character, a kidnap survivor, who tries to find the killer she believes abducted her sister. ‘Gone,’ which is believed to jump-start Seyfried’s action career, much like ‘Taken’ did for Liam Neeson in 2009, is set to begin shooting in April 2011. Underworld 4 Expected to be Helmed by Swedish Directors

With the fourth installment of the ‘Underworld’ series scheduled to begin filming in March, Swedish directors Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein are currently in talks to helm it together, Cinemablend.com is reporting. The series’ studio, Lakeshore Entertainment, began looking at the Swedish directors after screenwriter John Hlavin finished the script. The third sequel is rumored to be shot in 3D. It also has an expected release date of early 2012, much like its two immediate predecessors, ‘Rise of the Lycans’ and ‘Evolution,’ did in 2009 and 2006, respectively. Lionsgate Grabbing The Vatican Tapes

Lionsgate Entertainment and Lakeshore Entertainment will be co-producing the thriller “The Vatican Tapes,” The Hollywood Reporter is reporting. The suspense-filled film is written by Christopher Borrelli, based on a story by Borrelli and Chris Morgan. Gary Lucchesi, Tom Rosenberg, Chris Cowles and Morgan are producing “The Vatican Tapes”. Borrelli and Chris Fenton are onboard also as executive producers. Lucchesi, Jim Miller and Matthew Janzen are are all overseeing the project for Lakeshore and Lionsgate.
