According to /Film, Walt Disney Pictures has cast Alfred Molina in the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced retooling of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”. Nicolas Cage will star in a New York City-set modern take of the classic story from the well-known and critically-loved Disney film “Fantasia”. Jay Baruchel will also star as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice, who gets into trouble when the broomstick he magically animates to complete his chores for him begins to run amok.
