Prom Night Remake DVD and Blu-ray Details

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially released the DVD and Blu-ray details for the upcoming release “Prom Night” starring Brittany Snow.

Rising star Brittany Snow (Hairspray, John Tucker Must Die) leads a hot cast of up and comers as Donna, a high school senior eagerly anticipating what’s sure to be a night filled with glamour, music and romance – prom night. What she can’t predict, however, is the return of an obsessed, homicidal stalker from her past, chillingly played by Johnathon Schaech (Hush, That Thing You Do!), who will stop at nothing until he finds her. Will Donna and her friends survive his murderous rampage or will prom night truly be a night to die for?

Synopsis
Donna’s (Snow) senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life. After surviving a horrible tragedy, she has finally moved on and is enjoying her last year of high school. Surrounded by her best friends, she should be safe from the horrors of her past. But when the night turns deadly, there is only one person who could be responsible…a man she thought was gone forever (Schaech). Now, Donna and her friends must find a way to escape the sadistic rampage of an obsessed killer, and survive a night “to die for.”

PROM NIGHT was produced by Original Films’ Neal H. Moritz (I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Toby Jaffe (The Quick and the Dead) and marks the feature directorial debut of acclaimed television director Nelson McCormick (TV’s “Prison Break”, “Nip/Tuck”). Screenplay duties were handled by horror veteran J.S. Cardone (The Covenant, The Forsaken). Additional members of the creative team includes director of photography Checco Varese, AMC (La Misma Luna), production designer Jon Gary Steele (Vacancy), editor Jason Ballantine (Wolf Creek) and music composer Paul Haslinger (Underworld). The cast also includes such veterans as Idris Elba (This Christmas, American Gangster) and Ming-Na (TV’s “E.R.”, Mulan), in addition to rising stars Scott Porter (Speed Racer, Music & Lyrics), Jessica Stroup (This Christmas, The Hills Have Eyes 2), Dana Davis (TV’s “Heroes”, Coach Carter), Brianne Davis (TV’s “Nip/Tuck”, Jarhead) and Kellan Lutz (Accepted, Stick It). PROM NIGHT was released by Screen Gems and has a run time of approximately 88 minutes. It has been rated PG-13 for violence and terror, some sexual material, underage drinking, and language. The Unrated version of the film has a run time of 89 minutes.
