Duncan Jones will direct the upcoming historical suspense/drama film “Escape From The Deep,” from a script by writer Alex Kershaw.
Kershaw’s book is the story of a legendary WWII US navy submarine trapped at the bottom of the Pacific after a torpedo malfunction. The crew managed to escape by risking the bends and death and swimming over a hundred feet to the surface of the Pacific.
Jones, has also directed the upcoming Sam Rockwell film “Moon.” The film will be produced by U.S. production banner Brilliant Films. Brilliant’s Joe Abrams and Rory Gilmartin will produce “Escape.”
No other information on the project has been released.
