Despite numerous rumors to the contrary in the past two years, Shia LaBeouf, who is slated to appear in the upcoming “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, will not be starring in a big-screen adaptation of Brian K. Vaughn and Pia Guerra’s hit comic book series “Y: The Last Man”, which is slated to be directed by D.J. Caruso and written by Carl Ellsworth.

Talking to Wizard Magazine, LaBeouf confirmed that he was not involved with “Y: The Last Man”, which told the story of Yorick, the literal last man on the planet Earth after a plague decimated humanity by killing off all the men and male children on the planet.

“Y: The Last Man” would have reunited LaBeouf with Caruso, who directed him in both “Eagle Eye” and “Disturbia”.

No other information has been released so far on the film version of “Y: The Last Man”.
