I just got done listening to Mandy Moore’s latest single “I Could Break Your Heart Any Day Of The Week” and I cant believe I can’t get a refund on that 3 minutes and 15 seconds of my life.
The only good thing about this song was the video and even that was a little cheesy and disappointing. Through the whole video it shows off some really cool slow-mo shots of people getting their asses kicked, while Mandy Moore sits on the side lines badly lip syncing the song, wearing a curious looking trench coat. Sounds kinda cool, right? (except for the bad lip-syncing). Then walks in UFC superstar, “The Iceman” Chuck Liddell, so I’m thinking to myself “Okay, now I get to see the Iceman kick some ass in slow motion” Here’s where the disappointment comes in. Mandy Moore turns around, opens her trench coat to reveal something I’d expect my grandmother to be wearing, she then proceeds to kick Chuck in the balls all while still not lip syncing accurately the lyrics ” I can break your heart any day of the week” over and over again with likewise boring and repetitive music. The song shows no growth from her previous albums on vocal skills whatsoever.
It is rumored that she is dating UFC Champion Georges St. Pierre and it’s good to know that he is smart enough not to have appeared in the video (sorry Chuck). I just hope I never see Brock Lesnar in a Britney Spears video, God help us if we do.
