Variety is reporting that The Gotham Group has picked up the film rights to Craig Yoe’s “Secret Identity: The Fetish Art of Superman’s Co-Creator Joe Shuster”, which reveals Shuster’s non-Superman work on a BDSM underground comic series called “The Nights of Terror” from the 1950s, when Shuster had become estranged from DC Comics.

The comics featured lookalikes of the now-classic characters Superman, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor, in various bondage and S&M situations were named as an inspiration behind a torture and murder crime spree of the era.

The Gotham Group is currently trying to find writers for the project, and other information on the project has been released.
