First the news that Columbia Pictures will be moving the release date to July 9th, now MTV is reporting that actor Stephen Chow has entirely dropped out of the big-screen adaptation of “The Green Hornet”. Seth Rogen is attached to star in the production, which he co-wrote.

After initially both directing and acting, then dropping out of the director’s chair last year as Michael Gondry was attached to that position in the production, he has now officially left the project entirely, with casting calls going out to replace him in the role of Kato, the Asian martial artist sidekick and chauffeur of the masked and trench coated avenger The Green Hornet.

  1. Is this some type of a joke? Is this supposed to be a comedy? If so, what a dishonor to Bruce lee it would be. No wonder Stephen dropped out. Now if its a serious Movie about the original, then I apologize, However, the only movies I have seen with Seth Rogen in them have been comedies and for him to take credit for rewriting the original is a disgace to the original classic.
