The prequel to John Carpenter’s classic thriller “The Thing” from Universal Studios has announced that they are due to begin filming this March in Toronto and continue till June.
Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen, Jr. is directing the flick, based on the screenplay by Ronald D. Moore (exec. producer of “Battlestar Galactica”) and Eric Heisserer (the upcoming “Nightmare on Elm Street” remake). Though unconfirmed, the prequel would be about what happened at the Norwegian base mentioned.
No casting news has been announced yet.
