Director Sam Mendes is in negotiations to direct the next “James Bond” film, the 23rd installment of the famous action/espionage franchise. Director Sam Mendes is perhaps best know for his work on “American Beauty” and “Road to Perdition”.
Production is being eyed for a June start, with a tentative 2011 release. Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are writing the script with Peter Morgan (“Frost/Nixon”). Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are producing. Daniel Craig will be returning for the role of world-trotting super spy James Bond, aka Agent 007.
No title has yet been announced yet for the upcoming Bond film, nor any other casting information.
