Paramount Pictures and Cary Granat, one of the former cofounders of Walden Media, are working on a project titled “In the Beginning”, a 3D film version of the story of Creation, from the Book of Genesis in the Bible.
David Cunningham is set to direct, based on a script by John Fusco (“Hidalgo”). The visual effects are being handled by the studio Reel Fx. Paramount will both be co-financing and distributing the $30 million project.
The book of Genesis, the first “chapter” of the known Bible, and details stories such as the creation of the world, Adam and Eve, and Noah and the Great Flood.
No other information such as casting or production has been announced yet.
