Kevin Macdonald (“The Last King of Scotland”, the upcoming “The Eagle of the Ninth”) has been tapped to direct the espionage thriller “Murder Mystery” for the newly-formed Tower Hill Entertainment.

“Murder Mystery” is about an American couple who are honeymooning in Europe. The two find themselves dragged into a mysterious crime a the world of international intrigue when they witness a murder.

James Vanderbilt, who is currently writing the Spider-Man reboot for Sony, wrote the script. Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson are producing through ContraFilm, alongside Vanderbilt and Tower Hill’s A.J. Dix and Shively.

No release date or casting information has been released yet, though it has been confirmed that the project will be filming in Europe.
