Forest Whitaker (“The Last King Of Scotland”, the upcoming “Repo Men”) is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming indie drama “Little Treasure”
“Little Treasure” will be directed by Michael D. Olmos, based on a script by Josh Goldstein (“Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Jamie Foxx Show”).
The film’s premise is about an American couple that moves to China, in order to be closer to the wife’s family. The two face cultural bias as they understand traditions and have personal revelations. At the same time, they meet a Shanghai street kid who will change their lives.
Filming is set to begin in Shanghai next month. No other casting information has been released yet.
