Eric Heisserer, who wrote the upcoming “The Thing” prequel for Universal and the first approved draft of the “A Nightmare on Elm Street” remake, has been tapped to pen the script for “Final Destination 5.”
Tentatively slated for release sometime next year, no director or casting has been announced, though Craig Perry will again produce the latest film in the franchise.
The “Final Destination” films follow survivors of horrific massacres or accidents that narrowly avoid dying, only to find that they’ve disrupted the order of death in the universe, and are now slated to be killed in order to maintain the natural order of things.
