Paramount Pictures is in development of a third installment of “The Ring” franchise.

Tentatively titled “Ring 3D”, it would be the latest English-language version of the Japanese horror franchise. Naomi Campbell starred in the first two films as a woman tied into a mysterious videotape that carried a curse on it, killing anyone who watched the tape.

David Loucka, who wrote the upcoming projects “Dream House” and “House at the End of the Street”, is attached to write “Ring 3D”. Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, who produced the previous two films, are in talks to return to produce this film as well.

No casting news has been announced yet.
