Several big movies are among the nominees for GLAAD’s annual Media Awards, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Among the listed films are Burlesque, starring Christina Aguilera, Cher, Stanley Tucci and Alan Cumming. Easy A, also starring Stanley Tucci as well as Emma Stone and Amanda Bynes, is shortlisted, as well as I Love You, Phillip Morris, starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor and The Kids are All Right, starring Mark Ruffalo, Annette Bening, and Julianne Moore.

Other movies listed include Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, starring Michael Cera, Kieran Culkin, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, The Girl who Played with Fire, starring Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist, and Howl, starring James Franco, Mary-Louise Parker, Jon Hamm, and Todd Rotondi.

Overall, according to the site, there were 114 nominees in 23 in English-language categories and 33 Spanish-speaking entries in nine categories. According to GLAAD President Jarrett Barrios, these films and other media nominated created a benchmark that now must be met by other media outlets.

The GLAAD Media Awards is a tri-city event, placing place in March 19 in New York City, April 16 in Los Angeles and May 14 in San Francisco. The event honors entertainment that has provided inclusive, fair, and honest portrayals of the GLBT community. This will be the 22nd year the event has been held.
