Just a few days ago, Shockya wrote that Seth Meyers, Jon Bon Jovi, and Til Schweiger were added to the cast of Garry Marshall’s “New Year’s Eve.” Now it has been released that Ryan Seacrest and Ice Cube have joined the roster. Talk about a motley group!

According to The Hollywood Reporter and ScreenCrave, Ice Cube will play a police officer (surprise, surprise) who works with the director of the New Year’s festivities in Time Square (Hilary Swank); Duhamel’s role will be one of hopeless romantic who spends the entire day trying to get to a party in order to reconnect with a mystery girl he met the previous year. Seacrest is expected to make a cameo as himself doing what he does best on New Year’s Eve–host the Rockin’ New Year’s Eve party.

As stated before, the film is already boasting plenty of big-name actors; aside from Swank, Duhamel, and Ice Cube, Sofia Vergara, Jessica Biel, Halle Berry, Abigail Breslin, Zac Efron, Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Michelle Pfeiffer and Sarah Jessica ParkerĀ are also expected to star in the movie.

The film will follow the interweaving lives of several people during New Year’s Eve in New York City. The film is expected to be released December 9, 2011.
