According to The Hollywood Reporter, the director of the “Clash of the Titans” remake Louis Leterrier is set to direct the sci-fi film “G”, which is expected to be a tent pole film for Universal Pictures.

According to the article, the summary of the film has been kept secret, but the studio has released statements saying that the film will be in the vein of both “The Day After Tomorrow” and “Taken”. Leterrier’s production company, Rabbit Hole Productions, will be extremely involved in the film.

The film, according to the site, is an original idea created by Guymon Casady of Management 360. Casady will also produce the film along with Mark Gordon through the MG 360 banner, which is the production partnership between Management 360 and Gordon. Also producing the film are George Nolfi and Michael Hackett of Gambit Pictures. Screenwriters are currently being looked for to pen the script.

No release date has been given for the film, and I guess that makes sense, since the film is still in the extremely early stages. What is left for movie bloggers like me to do is wait until we get more information about the film, because, as stated earlier, there are no serious details about the film’s premise.
