With the recent news that CBS has fired Charlie Sheen from their hit sitcom ‘Two and a Half Men,’ the network is currently debating who to replace the troubled actor with on the show, www.tvguide.com is reporting. The series’ creator, Chuck Lorre, and Warner Bros. TV is thinking about approaching another troubled ’80s star, Rob Lowe, who is currently a series regular on another hit sitcom, NBC’s ‘Parks and Recreation.’

Lorre and Warner Bros. have expressed interest in continuing with a ninth season of ‘Two and a Half Men,’ despite the current season suspension and Sheen’s firing. There’s no word on what role Lowe would play on the show, as it rose to popularity based on the premise that bachelor Charlie lived with his uptight brother Alan (played by Jon Cryer) and his son Jake (portrayed by Angus T. Jones).

While Lowe hasn’t provided an official comment on the rumor yet, he is the second actor Lorre and Warner Bros. has considered. The studio was also looking at John Stamos, but he has already denied the reports.
