The “Conan the Barbarian” trailer has been released, and from the look of the trailer, what you see is what you get.

You can watch the embedded trailer below, but if you want a quick rundown of what happens, images from the movie are shown within puffs of smoke. We also get to hear our first bits of dialogue from Conan himself (played by Jason Momoa). The great thing is that the film (especially the bit of dialogue) seems just as cheesy and “He-Man”-ish as the original film starring The Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Like I said, the cheesiness is awesome; it would seem that this movie will (hopefully) not take itself too seriously, but seriously enough to give some great action scenes. Considering how ripped Momoa is, the action scenes should be pretty fun to watch and, hopefully, it’ll remind “Conan” fans of how much fun they had watching the original.

The reboot of the ’80s action classic involves the same plot as the original; Conan the Cimmerian travels across the continent of Hyboria in order to kill the person who murdered his father and massacred his village.

Also starring Rose McGowan, Ron Perlman, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang and Saïd Taghmaoui, “Conan the Barbarian” will be released to theaters August 19, 2011.
