The popular and crazy Adult Swim show, “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” has been developed into a movie project called “Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie”, according to Entertainment Weekly and IndieWire. Also, according to Entertainment Weekly, the film has found a distributor and a financier.

Magnolia Pictures has signed on to be a distributor, while 2929 Productions has signed on to finance, with Gary Sanchez Productions (with its Funny or Die Films banner) co-producing.

Shooting on the film began last month in Palm Springs and Los Angeles. Cameos in the film will be the financier, Todd Wagner (CEO of 2929 Productions) along with his business partner Mark Cuban.

Gary Sanchez Productions is owned by Sanchez, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Chris Henchy.

“Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” is a surrealist-type live-action show by Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim that has now aired five seasons on Adult Swim. The show is a zanier version of a sketch comedy show, however the central theme being cheap public access shows and commercials which seem inexplicably set in the 1980s. The show has had popular guest stars such as John C. Reilly, Alan Thicke, Gregg Turkington as Neil Hamburger, Michael Ian Black, LeVar Burton, Michael Cera, Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford, and more.
