What happens when two of the guys behind the Saw franchise and the writer-director of Paranormal Activity get together? You get Insidious. Saw director James Wan is the man behind the lens, Saw scribe Leigh Whannell is responsible for the script and Paranormal Activity’s Oren Peli steps in as the producer for this project that undoubtedly has a chance of keeping you up at night.

Insidious stars Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne as Josh and Renai, the parents of a young boy named Josh (Ty Simpkins) who falls into a coma right after the family moves into a new home. As they push to uncover the reason for Josh’s condition, they find themselves facing something far worse than a tangible cause, rather otherworldly forces.

The folks over at Fandango got a hold of a brand new clip that really gives you a taste of what to expect from this film. It’s titled “Renai’s Dream” and, well, shows what happens when Byrne’s character is startled by a nightmare. You can check out that clip below and be sure to head over to the film’s Fandango page where you can find three more clips and the film’s trailer.
