Zombies are now getting the “Twilight” treatment, and I’m not sure how to feel about this!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “I Am Number Four” actress Teresa Palmer is currently in talks to star in a zombie romance film, “Warm Bodies”. The film is being described as “Twilight” meets “Shaun of the Dead”. If she’s signed on, Palmer will be starring opposite one of the it-boys of this year, Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: First Class”).

The film will center around an, according to the article, “existentially tormented zombie” who goes by the name of R. He befriends a girl who also happens to be the girlfriend of one of R’s victims. She’s also the daughter of humankind’s military leaders who is constantly fighting against the zombies. R’s relationship with the girl will ultimately change his life and all of zombiekind.

For a while, there had been a joke about zombie romance films, but now it’s finally here. If you’re a zombie fan, I’m sure you probably think of this news as the coming of the apocalypse. If you’re a “Twilight” fan, you might be pleasantly surprised. If you’re in the middle, like me, you’re confused and bewildered.

On what side of this news do you fall on? Sound off below.
