Ray Romano, James Spader and British comedienne Catherine Tate have all signed on to appear in the hour-long season finale of ‘The Officem’ tvline.com is reporting. The three have also been added to the list of possible permanent replacements for Steve Carrell for the mockumentary’s eighth season. They also join already announced guest stars Will Arnett and the British ‘Office’ boss, Ricky Gervais.

Will Ferrell has been a leading potential replacement for Carrell, as the former ‘Saturday Night Life’ regular will temporarily replace his ‘Anchorman’ co-star after he leaves on April 28. Ferrell will portray D’Angelo Vickers, who will take briefly take over the reins at Dunder Mifflin.

While NBC hasn’t publicly commented on who will eventually take over the office manager position permanently, Romano and Arnett seem the least likely. Romano is still attached to TNT’s comedy-drama series ‘Men of a Certain Age,’ while Arnett recently signed on to star in an NBC comedy pilot.
