Michael C. Hall will be reuniting with ‘Dexter’ creator James Manos as he directs his first film, ‘Love, Scotch and Death,’ slashfilm.com is reporting. The movie, which Manos also wrote, was originally titled ‘The Slow and Complete Decompensation of Jim Manos,’ and is based on his life.

‘Love, Scotch and Death’ follows a bizarre week in the life of the main character. Hall, who will play the main character, finds after he returned home from a stressful vacation that his parents died of natural causes while he was away. While dealing with an unsympathetic funeral director, he must also deal with his confused children, agitated wife and a peculiar priest.

Vera Farmiga is believed to play the main character’s wife. ‘Love, Scotch and Death’ is expected to begin production in November, after the sixth season of ‘Dexter’ finishes filming.
