Now that Jeremy Renner has been chosen to be the star of Tony Gilroy’s “The Bourne Legacy” (he’ll be playing a character different from Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne), fans of the “Bourne” series have taken to twitter to express their support, according to an article by The Hollywood Reporter.

Some of the tweets are as follows:
@Kvinakmens: “I’m totally down with this choice”
@irishhels: “Jeremy Renner i believe needs to take Bourne role…he’d be great”
@MG_Arik: “@cabeckham if it was anyone but Jeremy Renner, I’d agree with you. But he’s too amazing.”
@AXCS: “Awesome! He can totally pull it off.”

According to the article, though, Renner might have some problems with rescheduling. He’s currently a part of “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters”, which will be in theaters March of next year (negotiations for him to participate in the film took a while), and he’ll also be starring in “Mission Impossible–Ghost Protocol”, which will be in theaters in December of this year as well as in “The Avengers”, in which he’ll be playing Hawkeye; that film will be out in May of next year.
