According to HitFix via The Hollywood Reporter, “Heroes” actor Masi Oka is joining forces with writer Alex Sabeti (“Art of Cool”) on the new SyFy show “Correctors”, which will focus on time travel.

The show’s premise will follow two agents employed by the Exceptions Bureau travel to a parallel dimension in order to possess their counterparts in order to prevent horrible future occurrences from taking place. The show is supposed to have a flair for “Inception”-type storytelling.

Oka will not only star in the pilot, but also act as executive producer. The pilot will be written by Sabeti. Both Oka and Sabeti developed the plot together.

Many people probably know Oka from his role as Hiro on “Heroes”. In the show, the character was able to bend time (I’m sensing a theme here!). He has also had a recurring role on CBS’ “Hawaii Five-O” and before his acting career, worked at Industrial Light and Magic, creating the special effects seen in the “Star Wars” prequels and Steven Spielberg’s “War of the Worlds”. In short, he’s one talented guy.

Will you watch “Correctors”? How do you feel about Oka’s involvement in the project? Make sure to leave your comments in the comments section below.
